The Red Hill Truffles Fest is a smorgasbord of hunts, truffle tastings, brunches, truffle tastings with match wines, restaurant lunches & dinners, fresh Red Hill Truffles and truffle products to enjoy at home. This unique Mornington Peninsula truffle hunt experience includes Jenny McAuley’s (owner) introduction to the world of truffles, with an Australian flavour. The renowned Fiona Hammond will expertly guide you through the truffière with our incredible skilled truffle dogs, Maddie and Jasper. Discover the mysteries of truffles then go onto a fabulous local restaurant for a truffle lunch or dinner.

Treat yourself to an outstanding dining experience, not to be missed. Join us to seek out the hidden treasures in our truffière where you will unearth your truffles with your owns hands. Then take your Red Hill Truffles (included in the price) to a premium local restaurant where they will be shaved over your dishes.

Truffle Hunt & Truffle Tasting
$179 per person | Family sessions available
A delicious & simple way to tell a local story about food. Hunt for your summer or winter truffles which will be served on a wood-fired pizza. Unearth the truffle with your own hands with our experienced hunters and our trained truffle-hunting dogs. Learn about the mysterious world of truffles, how it is farm truffles and more. The hunt will take about 1.5 hours where you will go our with our experienced hunters and truffle-hunting dogs to unearth truffle by your own hands. The hunt is followed by sharing tasting plates that includes a truffle cheese board and home-made wood-fired pizza that you get to shave the fresh Red Hill Truffle you harvested over. The tasting also includes truffle butter, truffle salt, truffle honey and truffle mushroom paste with Miller’s Kitchen crusty bread. No dairy-free option; GF option available.
Truffle Hunt followed by a Truffle + Pinot Tasting
Embark on a sensory journey that starts with a truffle hunt at Red Hill Truffles and unfolds with an amazing truffle tasting with matching pinots from Red Hill Estate winery. The truffle hunt is an unforgettable experience. You will go out in our truffiere with our experienced hunters and our amazing truffle-hunting dogs. This experience includes testing that the truffle is ripe and ready to harvest, then you will be invited to harvest the truffles with your own hands. On returning to the truffle pavilion you will wash and prepare your truffles for the truffle and pinot tasting. Tasting includes truffle cheese and our home-made wood-fired pizzas that you get to shave your truffle on the pizza. The Red Hill Estate wines have been specially selected to match the truffle tasting. The pinot noirs are vibrant and lively on the nose and bright on the palate with earthy tones and elegant tannins. No dairy-free option; GF option available.

Private Hunt

Exclusive summer or winter truffle hunt experience optionally followed by a truffle pizza and/or truffle tasting board. In a perfect world they should be relaxed, fun, and a little bit indulgent, which is exactly how our truffle hunting events pan out. The hunts starts with a stroll through the truffiere taking in the oaks, hazelnut trees & perhaps native fauna with the help of trained dogs & a recipe creator of note boosts energy levels - finding truffles & savouring them with your pizza (optional).
Truffle Hunt Gift Voucher
Spoil someone special with a Red Hill Truffles gift voucher. Choosing any of the events you will have an option to purchase vouchers that are valid for 3 years. Or you can purchase on voucher for $200 that can be used with any available event.
The $200 voucher for a truffle hunting and dining adventure is a perfect treat for any season.
Bookings are essential for all hunts. If the cost of any selected hunt is less than the full value of the voucher, the remainder can be put towards another hunt, or the purchase of fresh truffles and truffle products.
All vouchers, valid for THREE years from the date of purchase, are for use during truffle seasons only - primarily June to August and December to April.
