Truffles are a natural product and are difficult to grow. Even with the best farming practice it is subject to climate conditions. So we cannot be certain exactly when the season with commence or end.

Even in the middle of the season we cannot guarantee that there will be ripe truffle to harvest on every hunt. Truffles on the farm are primarily reserved for the hunts, but occasionally we have to harvest for local restaurants and our farmgate customers. We always endeavour to leave some for our hunts.

Anyone that wants to get down on their knees to test the aroma for ripe truffle is encouraged to do so. A kneeling mat will be provided. We endeavour to do our best to ensure at least one member from each party has the opportunity to dig up a ripe truffle, but this is something we cannot guarantee. However, on most hunts we do expect to harvest several truffles.
