Group Truffle Hunt Experiences

A group hunt commences at our Hunt Pavilion with an information session on the fascinating world of truffles. Guests learn about the history of the first successful truffle farm on the Peninsula.

Guests go out into our truffière to hunt with our talented and skilled hunters and our lovable springer spaniels to find the underground treasures. Guests have the opportunity to get down and sniff if a truffle is ripe and depending on the experience selected, they will have the opportunity to unearth truffles with their own hands.  Then return to the Hunt Pavilion to wash and prepare their harvested truffles for a tasting. While washing they will be offered a glass of non-alcoholic local cider and hear why people find truffles are so evocative and desirable.

When booking you can select the preferred date and time for your group. Please note that these groups are unlikely to be available in prime times, such as Saturday and Sundays mornings. The packages below are retail prices, if you are a tour operator please contact us for operator and inbound rates.

Hunt & Gather

1 hr, $72 pp

This experience is perfect for group to integrate into other experiences at our truffle farm shop or other attractions nearby. The group goes out into our truffière for a entertaining demonstration of truffle hunting. After the hunt guests can go to our truffle farm shop for a truffle cheese toastie (needs to be pre-ordered). Our shop also has a range of truffle products and memorabilia for sale.

Hunt & Harvest

2 hrs, $120 pp

This group experience includes everything in the Hunt & Gather plus provides quests has the opportunity to harvest a truffle with their own hands.

This is a perfect experience for groups to enjoy a truffle cheese toastie at our truffle farm shop or onto a restaurant for a truffle lunch or dinner. 

Hunt, Harvest & Gourmet Lunch

3 hrs, from $192 pp

This experience provides every quests the opportunity to harvest a truffle with their own hands. Guests get to wash their truffles and prepare them for their truffle gourmet lunch.

Wine pairing option is available, the wine is a perfect blend of Pinot Noirs for the first 2 courses and a late harvest Pinot Grigio with the truffle dessert. 

VIP Truffle Hunt Adventure

3-4 hrs, from $600; min 2; max 20

Meet the owner and founder of truffles on the Peninsula. This unique experience provides every quests the opportunity to harvest a truffle with their own hands with Jenny McAuley. The truffle lunch can be tailored to the guests requirements. Ask about the amazing truffle dishes with seasonal fresh truffle prepared by our truffle chef.

Terms & Conditions

Bookings: Groups must be booked at least 7 days in advance depending on the experience. If you are a Rezdy user you can request to be an agent. Bookings can be made online or by email.

Out of season bookings: Hunts near the start and end of truffle seasons are available on request, these will be demonstration hunts only.

Dietary: We do not cater for diary-free tastings. We do offer Gluten-Free, provided it is requested 3 days in advance.

Free of charge policy: Bus drivers or tour guides may attend for free, provided we don’t exceed the maximum number of guests on a hunt (20).

Hours of operation: Red Hill Truffles is open from 9am - 6pm Monday - Sunday by appointment. Operational hours are subject to change without notice and may be reduced due to weather.

Payment Policy: Bookings with gourmet tastings must be paid 7 days in advance of the visit, all other experiences must be paid 3 days in advance. Bookings on weekend mornings require 30 days payment in advance. Payment can be made by either bank transfer or credit card using online payments system.

Children Policy: Children aged under 13 are able to participate in all activities. Operator must notify us in advance. Note discounts are available for young children.

Cancellation Policy: Cancellation can be made 3 days in advance for weekday bookings. For weekend morning bookings cancelations must be made 14 days in advance.
